Day 1: Arrive in Bagdogra – Gangtok

Upon your arrival at Bagdogra Airport, our tour representatives will greet you and help you get to Gangtok. Once you get to your hotel, complete the check-in process and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

 After having a scrumptious breakfast, head out to explore Gangtok. Known to be Sikkim’s most populous city, it is also the state’s capital. Make a trip to Tsomgo Lake, which is also known as Tsongmo Lake or Changgu Lake. The surface of this glacial lake reflects different colours depending on the season and is highly respected by the people of Sikkim. Get back to your hotel for the night.

Begin this day by visiting the Ban Jhakri Falls Park and then move to offer your prayers at Do Drul Chorten, a stupa that was built in 1945. The other popular spots you will be visiting are the Directorate of Handicrafts and Handloom, the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, and the Flower Exhibition Centre. In the evening, leave Gangtok to head towards Darjeeling. Check-in to your hotel and get a good night’s sleep.

Early in the morning, head towards Tiger Hill to view the sunrise wherein you can witness the snow peaks of Kanchenjunga reflect the most magical hues. On the way back to your hotel, stop by the Ghoom Monastery, Japanese Temple, and Batasia Loop.

Have a filling breakfast and then continue to explore the city of Darjeeling. Take in the beauty of the Buddhist stupa known as Peace Pagoda and enjoy a fun cable car ride at the Darjeeling Ropeway. Visit the Tenzing & Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center, and Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park. Be sure to feast your eyes on the tea plantations of Darjeeling. Get back to your hotel for the night.

In the morning, check out of your hotel and head for the airport in Bagdogra to board your flight back home.
